Dr. Padmakshi Singh
Dr. Padmakshi Singh specializes in the field of general cardiology with an interest in preventive cardiology, women heart health, cardiac risk assessment and cardiovascular risk modification. Her practice focuses on chronic long term management of heart disease which includes coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, congestive heart failure, hyperlipidemia, hypertension. Dr. Singh will work with you to treat your heart disease along with modifying risk factors for a heart attack. She provides continuity of care from an inpatient to outpatient setting to ensure ease of all your care.
Dr. Singh completed her medical school training from Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences. She went on to do her residency in internal medicine from Saint Michaels Medical Center, NJ. She subsequently spent two years working as research assistant at Saint Luke’s Medical center, NYC. Dr. Singh then completed her critical care fellowship from Mount Sinai Medical Center, NYC. Her drive and passion for cardiology lead her to complete cardiology fellowship from Beth Israel medical center / SUNY downstate medical center, NY.
Dr. Singh is board certified in General Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. She is currently affiliated to Northshore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Hospital.
Dr. Singh experience in research and prior publications, with experience in critical care medicine allows Dr. Singh to provide the cutting-edge and most newly developed cardiac diagnosis and therapeutic strategies.

Do you do cardiac testing in your office?
Yes, we perform cardiac testing such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and ultrasound of the legs , in two separate office locations in New Hyde Park and Bayside Queens. Along with ultrasound, we also provide holter monitors, event monitors, 24 hr blood pressure monitoring devices and conduct spirometry and EKG’s.
Where do you consult your patients?
Currently we consult and see patients at our Bayside, Queens location.
Will you be in touch with my PMD and share records and plan of care with him/her?
We always notify the primary medical doctor or primary care doctor on the first consultations, share our notes and reports of tests performed in our office.
Are you open on the weekends?
Yes, We have office hours on Saturdays.
Can you assess my risk of having a heart problem and offer advice on how I can reduce that risk?
We have algorithms which we use to assess risk of developing cardiovascular disease. We can certainly talk about diet, weight loss, lifestyle modification.
What insurances do you participate with?
Will my insurance cover your testing or will I get a bill?
All the testing we order first undergo prior authorization. Insurance companies will be contacted and spoken to in regard to the type of plan patients have. the insurance companies may some time take couple of days to response or may require additional details and have a discussion with cardiologist. We keep our patients informed about the delays.
